After some thinking, An Zhe held out his left hand and stared at his own fingertips beneath the light.
Snow-white hyphae quietly extended from his fingertips to consolidate into a solid mass, after which he picked up his knife and cut off a thin, tiny piece of it.
Following this, he picked it up with his right hand, put it up to his mouth, gently pushed it in, and bit into it with his teeth—he'd decided to do a quick investigation on the matter of whether or not he was toxic.

It had a soft, sweet, very tasty sort of flavor—that was his first impression.
A second later, the entire world swayed before his eyes.

Immediately following this, he became lighter, bobbing up and down in the air, while the sunlight shining in from the window transformed into powerfully surging seawater, soaking all the papers and notebooks on the table into a formless mass of white.
An Zhe blinked, not uncomfortable at all, simply feeling like all of his movements had become extremely slow and floaty. He couldn't control his own body; it was as if he'd taken flight, yet also like he was on the verge of falling.
And after that—the world before his eyes gradually darkened, and he completely lost consciousness.
